Sunset along Many Glacier Road

no comments

During the crowded months in Summer, the only sensible way to traverse Glacier National Park is by taking the bus inside it.  The bus drives along the Going to the Sun Road.  North of GTTS is the wonderful Many Glacier Road.  Since we visited in the shoulder season, there were a handful of vehicles in this road.  Sunset along Lake Sherburne in this road.  Many Glacier Road is a popular location to see Grizzly bears as well.  We were lucky enough to sight a mother and two cubs up in the mountains.  The bears were almost a mile way and a few thousand feet elevated, so in my photos with a puny 300mm lens, they appear rather too tiny to be posted here :( .

Montana – the big empty.  The rolling hills, rivers and streams and the emptiness.  After a few days in Montana, the hustle-bustle of 880 and 92 took some mental adjustment.

Saw some lovely horses driving along Hwy 28.
