Nike+ is not GPS based, it is pedometer based. The only advantage of Nike+ is you can use it with a treadmill to count your steps. Runkeeper is far more accurate and much better to track your runs using maps and such any day.

From what I read in twitter, RK trounces Nike+.

Nike+ will never include GPS since if they do it, they can't sell the pedometer counting thing and their shoes. They are in the business of selling shoes, not creating great software. If they upgrade Nike+ to use GPS instead of pedometer, people will use it with other shoes, which they don't want.

Great review! Thanks. How does this compare to the Nike+ system?

Great review. I've only tried RunKeeper and have been impressed and happy with the app. I had a GPS issue, but it wasn't a RunKeeper issue... Just a reboot-needing-iPhone.

Thanks for confirming my suspicion that this app is the best thing going. The team of developers seem to have momentum... I'm already preferring this over Nike+.
