If you are annoyed by Mac OSX’s terrible mouse acceleration

If you attach an external mouse to your mac, the first thing you notice is how terrible the mouse is. The mouse acceleration totally sucks.

I finally found a way to fix it. USB Overdrive X is a $20 shareware that gives you ways to control acceleration and tracking speed. Finally something that solves such a basic need.

Cisco VPN client on Mac OSX – connection entries

Since I spent a good 30 mins this morning trying to find out where the connection entries are saved in Mac OSX for the Cisco VPN client:

The connection entries go under /etc/opt/cisco-vpn-client directory. Look for a .pcf file named the same way you have in the connection entry list in the GUI.
