Of global warming and photo archives :)

As I was wasting more time on the internet yesterday, I read this interesting thread in dpr where Thom Hogan went on and on about Global Warming.

I *had* to revisit my archives for a glacier photo and remember how it felt out there in Alaska, visiting those glaciers. Thanks to LightRoom and DAM, I was able to locate the photo quickly – but the amazing part – the minute I saw the photo, I remembered how cold it was, how “noisy” it was and what an amazing experience it was. Thanks to photography :)

Incidentally, I seem to have crossed the 400 photo mark with my blog – which is pretty surprising given that I rarely take any photos outside my home these days :) . I keep flirting with the idea of shutting the blog down, but I guess I will leave it running and keep posting occasionally :~).

Went to SF today to watch the Chinese New Year Parade. This was before the parade started. However, once the parade started, Sahana decided she was afraid of dragons :( .

The dragons didn't stop coming, so we had to leave pretty quickly – not much photos from the actual parade, may be one or two :( .

Grand Canyon – South Rim

I am trying Adobe Lightroom these days and imported photos from 2002. I like LR so far.

In any case, this is a photo from 2002. South Rim of Grand Canyon, shot with a Olympus C2040.
